Sports Injury Specialists in Kershaw County, SC

Dedicated to helping athletes in South Carolina get back to their game

Camden Bone & Joint features a specialized group of board-certified physicians and staff focused on meeting the diagnostic and treatment needs of competitive, recreational, and the master athlete at all levels of competition. Most sports injuries do not require surgery. Treatment for a sports injury can include the use of pain relievers and keeping the injured area immobilized with a cast or sling. In some cases, a surgical procedure may be required to repair torn tissue or realign bones.

Our team of physicians includes board certified sub-specialists in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine to provide you with an elite level care. Our experts can recommend both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for sports injuries.

Dr. Murphy is board certified in Primary Care Sports Medicine and joins Camden Bone & Joint after being a team physician for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and the Columbia Fireflies. He has training in musculoskeletal ultrasound which can often give immediate diagnostic answers during your appointment. Ultrasound also allows him to do advanced ultrasound guided injections and procedures in the office during your visit that would otherwise require a patient to go to the hospital to be done. Dr. Murphy is excited to bring his experience in SEC athletics, professional baseball, and musculoskeletal ultrasound to serve the athletes of Kershaw County!

We are proud to serve Kershaw County’s High School athletic teams!
